Disco Tune(ディスコ・チューン)

(Now I study hard, you know)
(Chasing dreams, I'll reach the goal)
(But on my way back home tonight)
(Let me dance, just feel alive)

Disco tune...

LA LA LA LA LA LA...
LA LA LA LA LA LA...

Disco Tune [English Translation]

Stars are dancing in the night sky
I throw my bag away, breaking free
Dreams spin through the galaxy
We dance all night — di di di Disco tune!

Lead-gray notebooks
Soaked in a sea of red ink
Through the classroom window, the sun goes down
Every bell rings — another battlefield

Don’t say you’re tired, not tonight
“Discipline” disguised as coexistence
For a better future, they tell us so
We march ahead, without looking back

Cutting through the night wind, on my bike
Down the hill, accelerating fast
Dreams spin like the Milky Way
All eyes on the floor — di di di Disco tune!

Chalkboard numbers stare back at me
The future feels so far away
But those shining constellations
Seem to know something I don’t

So dance tonight — tomorrow, fight again!

Stars are shining in the night sky
I throw my bag away and shout it out
Grabbing dreams across the galaxy
The floor is burning — di di di Disco tune!

An endless dance
(Now I study hard, you know)
Beyond the rising sun
(Chasing dreams, I’ll reach the goal)
That night’s disco tune
(But on my way back home tonight)
Keeps echoing inside me
(Let me dance, just feel alive)

Disco tune…
This summer was ours
Blue lights glowing
Never ending

LA LA LA LA LA LA…
LA LA LA LA LA LA…
When this season fades away
Where will we go next?
Tomorrow will be sunny again

Liner Notes

“Disco Tune” began as a track inspired by 1970s dance soul.
However, as the production progressed, the song unexpectedly took on a life of its own. Before I realized it, it had grown into a track with a standout presence, unlike anything else on the album.
As a result, it became the only song positioned as a single on Melty.

The vocals, in particular, are so powerful that you might find yourself questioning whether they’re really AI. There’s a raw energy that makes your chest resonate naturally as you listen—that’s where the heart of this song truly lies.

The lyrics are based on my memories from the time I was preparing for university entrance exams. I grew up in a quiet rural town, and by the time cram school ended, the sky was already pitch black. Riding my bike along a riverside road with very few streetlights, I would look up and see countless stars shining so brightly they felt almost within reach.

Thoughts of the person I liked, my band, and my future would drift through my mind. Looking back now, those moments—heading home while thinking about life during such a sensitive time in high school—were incredibly precious and joyful.

Cram schools and entrance exams can feel like a system designed to mass-produce “excellent” individuals. From today’s perspective, parts of it seem restrictive and even dull. Still, we were genuinely serious back then, and the pure emotions we carried during that time are something I believe truly mattered.

This song was created while reflecting on those memories.
Every time I listen to it, I can’t help but smile.
