Liner Notes
“YOI-no-Parade” was created with a clear intention: to serve as the final track of the album. While its role was defined from the very beginning, the song ultimately developed a deeper and more expansive world than I initially imagined.
At the start of the writing process, the theme revolved around a broad sense of love for nature and living beings. However, when the phrase “I love you” was suddenly introduced, the story gradually began to shift direction, eventually arriving at the idea of love for oneself.
Although it wasn’t something I consciously aimed for, looking back I realized that the phrase “an endless circle” captures the underlying theme that runs through the entire album. In that sense, I feel this track serves as a fitting and meaningful conclusion.
And after listening to “YOI-no-Parade,” if you return once more to the opening track, “Hana-wa-Chiri,” it somehow feels surprisingly natural.
