Buddha(仏陀)

Hail Amitabha Buddha

The wind is gone,
The fire sleeps,
The river dreams of stillness.

Breath returns,
blood ignites,
and tears begin to fall.

Hail Amitabha Buddha

The wind is gone,
The fire sleeps,
The river dreams of stillness.

Breath returns,
blood ignites,
and tears begin to fall.

Hail Amitabha Buddha

Hail Amitabha Buddha

The wind is gone,
The fire sleeps,
The river dreams of stillness.

Breath returns,
blood ignites,
and tears begin to fall.

Buddha [English Translation]

Exposed to the dry wind,
A lone wanderer drifts at the edge of the sand.
Blades of sunlight tear into the skin,
Each drop turns into a prayer.

At the border where no voice remains,
A shadow appears and leaves a single phrase:
“When suffering comes, simply chant.”
Hail Amitabha Buddha — fading away.

The wind is gone,
The fire sleeps,
The river dreams of stillness.

Breath returns,
Blood ignites,
And tears begin to fall.

No answer comes — the body collapses,
A distant sky flickers behind the eyes.
Echoes of thought overflow and resound,
Carrying you into the cosmic void.

Weightless, drifting on and on,
Swimming through a sea without time.
Why am I here? Where am I going?
Hail Amitabha Buddha — disappearing.

The wind is gone,
The fire sleeps,
The river dreams of stillness.

Breath returns,
Blood ignites,
And tears begin to fall.

When the wish to let go is spoken,
A nameless force grabs your arm.
A powerful presence cries, “Return,”
Tearing through space, splitting the air.

Someone breathes life back into you —
The pain in your throat proves you’re alive.
Cold hands touch your face,
Hail Amitabha Buddha — trembling.

Open your eyes — that sun again,
More blinding than hell, this reality.
The shadow who gave you water
Seemed to smile.

Hail Amitabha Buddha — dissolving.

The wind is gone,
The fire sleeps,
The river dreams of stillness.

Breath returns,
Blood ignites,
And tears begin to fall.

Unraveling.

Liner Notes

“Buddha” was written in a single burst, carried by the heightened energy of the night.

As I was writing, an image formed in my mind:
a lone figure walking through the desert, slowly losing strength, and eventually collapsing.
Rather than overthinking it, I let the words spill out almost instinctively, as if striking the page.
Because of that, the song ended up with a distinctly unique and intriguing world of its own.

I’ve long had an interest in Buddhism and the figure of the Buddha, but instead of exploring these ideas philosophically, I wanted to introduce them naturally—as symbolic elements within a story.

At first, I wrote the lyrics using the phrase “Namu Amida Butsu,” but it proved difficult to make it work musically.
By replacing it with the English expression “Hail Amitabha Buddha,” the image suddenly became clear and the song found its shape.

Musically, the track originally leaned toward smooth jazz, but once the lyrics were added, an Eastern, mystical atmosphere began to emerge.
That combination transformed it into a deeply evocative and captivating piece.
